COURSE DESCRIPTION
Managing to Deliver Patient Care is a nursing management development program focussed on engendering accountability for daily ward or unit management. This program is unique to the Australian Health Care System and is specifically focussed on improving patient care. This program is conducted in two stages. Stage one is over three days with a further one day follow up 6 weeks later. This course is accredited for 25 CNE points with the Royal College of Nursing.
The acute health care environment can be complex and demanding of health care providers, particularly nurses. The middle (ward/unit) level of nursing is pivotal to quality patient outcomes, yet management development at this level is often not prioritised in either the health or education sectors. This four (4) day program is designed to engender confidence, competence and accountability in daily ward management.
